Ireland - Donegal and West Coast

It wasn't much further to Marble Arch. Although people were aware of these caves for many centuries they didn't explore far into them as the dark cave soon gave way to deep water. A French cave scientist was first to really explore them in 1895. Normally the tour is in part by boat along the subterranean river but unfortunately recent heavy rains made that impossible and we had to access it by stairs. A LOT of stairs that wound right down into the cave.
